What, Where, When, and How?
Transportation To and From Better Day Club
The following options are available for getting to and from Better Day Club
- BT Access is a service of Bloomington Transit for those who, because of a disability, cannot use Bloomington Transit's fixed route bus system. It is $2 per ride, door to door, and must be scheduled ahead of time. People travelling within the boundaries of the City of Bloomington can use this service. There is an appication process to use BT Access, and we are happy to help you with this. Passes can be arranged through Better Day Club, and added to your bill.
- Bloomington Transit routes 3 and 8 pass by Better Day Club, and join with other routes downtown.
- Rural Transit operates in Monroe, Lawrence, Owen and Putnam counties, with scheduled routes and door to door services available.
- Individuals who have established services with a private duty care agency often have their caregiver bring them.
From time to time we have participants interested in ride sharing with other club members and one of our staff members. This service is not consistently available, but if the demand is great enough, we’ll explore it further. If you are interested in this option, please let us know.
Weather Cancellation Policy
Better Day Club maintains a phone tree for cancellations. Our cancellations are immediately posted on the Better Day Club Facebook page and are released to WFIU radio. Because our meetings do not begin until noon, we usually have sufficient time to prepare the parking lot for programming. We encourage families to use their best judgment when we have inclement weather.
